Project:   Fundamental Research on MicrofluidicsTechnology for Aqueous Two Phase System





1. Flow pattern and dispersion rule of ATPS in micro-channel




We established a platform to observe theflow and dispersion rule of Aqueous Two Phase System through sheared T-shapedmicrochannel and co-axial microchannel. The correlation for prediction of flowtype transition was set and well applied in the flow map based on flow rateration and capillary number of continuous phase.


2. Simultaneous two-phase separation for Parallel Laminar Flow




We realized a simultaneous two-phaseseparation with branching stream of central channel compensating the resistancedeviation via the trifurcate outlets with an extra middle channel. A newmultiport microchip was designed for PLF phase separation.
