Project:    ring-opening reaction of epoxide: catalysis and kinetics study





1. Homogeneous synthesis of 2-hydroxyethylacrylate: kinetics and ligand effect

The stop-flow microreactorwas applied to the homogeneous kinetics study. Four kinds of OrgCr catalyst werechosen to investigate the ligand effect and shed light on the rationalscreening and design of OrgCr catalysts.


2. Green and high-efficiencysynthesis of 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate with ion exchange resins as Cr(III) supportand collector

The resin bead modified by chromium(III)(Resin@Cr(III)) is tested as a regenerable catalyst for the acidolysis ofethylene oxide with acrylic acid and shows high catalytic activity. A total chromium recycling process was developed facilitating thegreen and highly efficient synthesis of HEA
